Step away from Auto and into Program, Shutter, Aperture, and Manual modes (demo using Nikon D3400)

If you recently purchased an entry level DSLR and feel overwhelmed by the various modes and choices, not a problem. Grab some popcorn and enjoy this tutorial!:) My goal is to get you off of fully auto and into the land of the fearsome four (aka PSAM)!:)

This is a relatively looooong video but for good reason - there is much to cover:). I am using the Nikon D3400 in this video as a demo of a good entry level camera but concepts apply to all DSLR cameras (from the Canon T6i to the Sony 6000 to the Nikon D500, etc.).

The following is a chart I reference in the video regarding shutter speeds and stop/freeze motion (sourced from slrlounge):
-- walking 1/125-1/250
-- running 1/500-1/1000
-- sports 1/500-1/2000
-- flying birds 1/800-1/2000
-- moving car (30-35) 1/1000-1/2000
-- auto racing 1/1000-1/8000
