🫨🫨🫨 The first music video coded & experienced entirely inside an Excel file. 🫨🫨🫨

Spotify Advertising and FCBNY gave us an impossible task:
Code an entire music video inside a single Excel file of 10MB which could be safely sent and opened by media planners anywhere in the world.

It was the most challenging project of our studio at the time, requiring the reimagining the very fundamentals of video production

A custom keyframe-based Timeline tool in a separate sheet
Animation built from scratch within Excel
A bespoke video codec converting videos into an Excel-compatible format
Animated line drawings using line charts
Smooth 12 FPS playback on a 256x256 pixel grid

This labor of love required reimagining the very fundamentals of video production. The results were rewarding!
