281XP Husqvarna, All Day Chain, Stick Trick Revisited

Filmed October 2018
Still pullin' large chucks (chips) at ~ 4 P.M. after 7/8 hours of use. Relatively rocky ground in this strip. You can hear that a few teeth made contact with
" somethin' ".
At ~ the 8 minute mark you can see the limb get sized and placed in the far side of the undercut - even though I cut the far side off. This will tell you where the hinge is when you cannot get all the way around the tree - aka the ground is really steep and/or the tree is large in diameter.
I wanted this tree to drift a bit low and miss the rock(s) pointed out verbally ~ the 10 minute mark. The wood is pretty hard so cutting the far side off netted this result. A readjust on the face would have taken exponentially more time. I chose the "down & dirty method" here since my chain was laggin'.
I took a look at the scale sheet. The tree was a little over 2500 BF Scribner in the end. A slight break where the ground transitioned by the stump cluster. It had another small log in the top.
The bar is a "33" when measured the same as a 32" - the industry standard these days. So 110 drivers .375 pitch.
Every so often I'll get my 281 out of moth balls and give her a run! Moves right along with the black screens.
I may, or may not, be available for custom saw modifications at the time of your reading this. If you are interested, please shoot me an email. That is the best, 1st point of contact.
