How to make your own energy gels

Описание к видео How to make your own energy gels

Running is expensive. At least on the level we are on (that sounds fancier than it is). One of the biggest costs are energy gels. I love these Spring Energy "Long Haul" gels, but at a cost of $4 each, they are a punch in the gut to buy, especially when it's recommended to take one or 2 for each hour of working out. That can be $20 per race! So Stacie did some digging and found a copycat recipe. That original recipe can be found here https://troyontherun.com/2021/09/16/w.... Shout out to Troy on the Run for the recipe.

In the end, the macros are pretty close to the Spring Energy gels, and cost about $0.38 per serving, which is HUGE. As for use, they seemed to be just as effective as the store bought ones. So going forward, we will probably make our own. Please note, they do have limited life, even in the fridge. They went rancid after about a month, understandably so.
