Описание к видео 2010 Newsmakers: Samuel Poghisio

Although in the minority, the red team ran a fierce campaign to oppose the ratification of a new constitution, in a referendum that had been slated for the 4th of August 2010. Three ministers stood shoulder to shoulder with the church to oppose the proposed constitution. The soft spoken Minister for Information and Communications, Samuel Poghisio, teamed up with cabinet colleagues, William Ruto and Naomi Shabban to run an impressive and highly visible no campaign. Raised in the hostile terrain that is his Kacheliba Constituency in West Pokot, the former Daystar University lecturer may be soft spoken, but he is also a cunning political operator. Our reporter Willis Raburu visited him at his farm in Kacheliba and has his story on tonight's edition of the newsmakers series.
