The 7th annual “Taiwan AI Academy Annual Conference” kicked off on Friday. During the opening ceremony, Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim described the AI era as a “revolution” and even jokingly shared that she had tried to use AI to prepare her speeches, but she felt that her skills in AI were insufficient and there was still room for improvement. Let’s see what was said at the conference.

The Taiwanese girl group NEXT GIRLZ turns into an AI animation introducing the exhibition venue. MediaTek’s generative AI platform DaVinci has further evolved with interactive screens that can solve the problem of Taiwan’s labor shortage.

We are now slowly starting to introduce multi-mode AI models. We also hope that this virtual person must not only be able to hear and speak, but also able to see.

The seventh edition of the “Taiwan AI Academy Annual Conference” drew nearly a thousand people from Taiwan and abroad. Technology titans MediaTek, AMD, Intel and MSI used the conference to show off the latest AI applications used in various industries.

New trends and challenges are, from another perspective, also new opportunities. If Taiwan is to stay prosperous, it must continue to remain in the leading group of innovators.

I have also tried to use AI to improve my efficiency in my work, for example using it to prepare speeches, but I was not satisfied with any of the speeches produced by AI, which means that my AI skills are insufficient. In this revolution, whether were are successful or fail depends on whether we can keep up with the times together.

Describing the AI era as a “revolution,” Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim shared her experiences using AI, hoping that government and industries could stand shoulder-to-shoulder to make AI industry clusters in Taiwan continue to advance and be ahead of the pack.
