Another Clean demo of these really nice Stratocaster pickups. This time installed in my "Crazy Vibe" Classic Vibe Squier Strat.

I find this guitar sounds very different to the Vintage Modified Strat - more refined, softer and sweeter sounding. There is less bite and less aggression in the tone of this guitar. Initially I thought it was because of the pickups, but it still holds true with the same Tonerider pickups in it as the Vintage Modified.

Does this mean that pickups are not a big factor in the tone? No, not at all, but it does tell me that the tone is about the sum of all the parts.
