Ancestors unKnown Netherlands is a richly illustrated digital tool, intended for primary and secondary schools.,
Pupils are invited to search for their roots and hidden histories
Ancestors unKnown Nederland is intended for schools that want to offer their students a different perspective on colonial and postcolonial histories that are linked to Dutch history. Histories that remain underexposed in traditional history books and methods.

In addition to knowledge about the shared past, pupils are offered lessons in genealogical research, archive research and interviewing. With the acquired knowledge and skills they then search for their ancestors.
