Mixing Sand And Cement Render

In this video we will be looking at the best mix to use for rendering in to brick work. We first review the way we mix up for the scratch coat, and then for the top coat.

The gauges are for brick


Scratch Coat

4 Plastering Sand
1 cement
SBR
FEBPROOF waterproofer


Top Coat

5 Plastering Sand
1 Cement
1/2 Hydrated Lime
Rendamix Additive

The plastering sand we use is called “Sand Gate” and we measure all our gauges out in 10L buckets.
