Potato Stack From Tik Tok | Acooknamedmatt

In this one I go over the trending tik tok potato stack. Since theres a lot of new faces here from my old potato gratin video I thought I would make an updated simple version. This was first inspired by my good friend @ByronTalbott We will make them together again someday!

Ingredients:
-Idaho Russet Potatos
-canola oil for frying

Set your oil to about 285°F in a large pot. Slice your potatoes to about a millimeter thickness and re-stack them together neatly and press lightly.

Trim excess to make little Squares, rectangles, circles or whatever! I’ve even seen someone make flower shapes, pretty rad.

Immediately fry in the oil dropping in slowly and gently.

After about five minutes raise the heat to 350°F and keep frying til golden. Remove and set on a rack then season with salt, my Flakey salt will be coming out February 2021

Thats it! Serve with whatever you please, i like mine with some kewpie mayo and flake salt.
