Is it possible to make wooden strips with a jigsaw?

Описание к видео Is it possible to make wooden strips with a jigsaw?

You'll discover that making thick wooden strips with a jigsaw is challenging because the jigsaw struggles to cut along the grain of the wood. One of the issues is that the saw blade heats up too much. Another problem is that we are forcing the saw to make a rip cut through thick wood, a type of cut for which it is not designed. We also need to keep in mind that this cut takes a long time with the jigsaw. Therefore, this accessory is interesting but only for not-too-thick woods. Additionally, at the end of the video, you can see that the rip cut I made using this parallel rip fence wasn't perfectly straight. Nevertheless, I believe my jig with bearings now includes an interesting accessory: a parallel guide that I think will work well for cutting thinner strips.
