Strict Action Against Corruption: Bihar Home Department Issues Final Notice to 9 Major Police Units!

The Bihar Government, under the decisive leadership and "Zero Tolerance" policy toward corruption championed by Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, has tightened the noose around police and military police officers. The Home Department has officially identified 9 major police units and directorates that have failed to submit their mandatory asset and liability declarations for the year ending December 31, 2025.

The Final Deadline: March 15, 2026
Despite multiple reminders, several high-ranking officials and staff members have ignored the directives to disclose their movable and immovable assets. Taking this insubordination seriously, Joint Secretary Naveen Chandra has issued a final warning. Officers now have until March 15, 2026, to provide their complete financial records in both hard and soft copies.

Key Units Under Investigation:

Inspector General, Economic Offences Unit (EOU)

Assistant Inspector General, Bihar Military Police (BMP) & Railways

Assistant Director, Bihar Police Academy

SP Wireless, Special Branch, and several BMP Battalions.

Digital Transparency & Accountability
In a move to ensure complete transparency, the department's IT Manager has been directed to upload these asset reports onto the official website. This digital push is part of Samrat Choudhary’s strategy to ensure that no "Benami" property or illegal wealth stays hidden behind the uniform.
