Semolina / Sugee Buttercake

Ingredients :
225g butter, softened
150g semolina / sugee

5 eggs
170g caster sugar
2 tablespoon condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
115g self raising flour


Steps :

Lightly beat the softened butter and semolina (sugee) until fluffy. Leave to sit for at least 5 to 6 hours at room temperature, or overnight if possible.

Preheat oven to 160°C.

Beat eggs and caster sugar for high speed. Beat until the mixture leaves a trail of ribbon when you lift the egg beater or spatula (ribbon stage)

Pour the butter and semolina mixture into eggs and fold in. I used mixer at slowest speed.

Transfer the batter into the prepared tin)(size 8 inch, for bundt pan 10 inch) and smooth the surface.

Bake 160C for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the cake is done
