Tacloban City, the Heart of Eastern Visayas, Philippines!

Tacloban City is the capital of Leyte and known as the heart of Eastern Visayas. It is a highly urbanized city, which is administered independently from the province. Tacloban is also the most populous city in the region.

To reach the many beautiful tourist spots in Eastern Visayas, including the islands of Samar, Leyte and Biliran, most tourists from different parts of the country and the world travel through Tacloban Airport or the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport.

The city also has its own famous tourist attractions, like the San Juanico Bridge, Santo Niño Shrine and Heritage Museum, Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Niño Parish Church, Tacloban City Convention Center, Tacloban City Hall, Magsaysay Boulevard, and the Old Leyte Provincial Capitol. The people of Tacloban also celebrates the Sangyaw Festival during the city fiesta.
