After servicing this surplus 80-channel 1997 radio in the previous video, it was time to test it 'on the air.

As usual, Mr Chippie drove along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route. He stopped at the 5-mile point & we switched from the UK band to CEPT for a test. On this day, there was a lot of foreign interferrence which made the CEPT band test very difficult; this illustrates why
I find the CEPT band useless here.

Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we use in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
