Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all the viewers of Decor and More with Sakshi. Nowadays, Ganesh Festival is not only one of the most celebrated festival in India but also in the various parts of the world where you find a huge Indian Diaspora residing in the country. United States aka America is one such country where you will find a huge Indian Diaspora living in various parts of the country. In America, ganesh festival is slowing picking its popularity. Many residents bring the ganesh idols at home and worship it to get the blessings of Ganpati for the prosperity, health and success of the family. In some places, ganesh festival is also celebrated in public with big Ganesha idol and a humongous 1200 lbs modak. Sounds interesting, Isn’t it?

Few years back, it was difficult to get a clay idol of Ganesh, Pooja samugri and priest for the ganesh Pooja but now things have changed and you can easily get Ganesh clay idol and Pooja Samugri in the local grocery or Pooja shops. From last 3 years, we started celebrating Ganesh Festival in America. We celebrate the festival in almost same manner as we use to do in Mumbai. Ganesh decoration, beautiful ganesh idol, flower garlands, social gatherings, ganesh Aarti and on top of that same enthusiasm. Many of our friends with different cultural background, join us in welcoming and praying the lord genesha. It demonstrate India’s multiculturalism in America. In this video, I am sharing some of the moments from this years ganesh celebration. Hope you will enjoy it.
