Special Prayer: A message to anyone reading this and to my future kids:
The other day, I was stuck in traffic, praying, and I randomly saw a work truck in front of me with this beautiful scripture:
Colossians 3:23
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people."
This verse is such a powerful reminder to put your heart into everything you do—not for the approval of others or for money, but as if you are working directly for God. When you pursue something with passion, do it wholeheartedly, because God sees and honors that effort. Imagine yourself as an employee of God, and let that fuel the quality and heart you put into your work.
To my future kids, or anyone reading this: Remember that your gifts and talents are precious and were given to you by God for a purpose. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Whatever talent you have—whether it’s in art, teaching, building, or even making people smile—use it to serve others and glorify God. When you pour your love and passion into your work, others will feel it just as deeply as you do.
Here’s my encouragement to you: Find what makes you truly happy, what makes your heart come alive. Discover your gifts, practice your craft, and share it with the world. Even when you don’t feel ready, do it anyway. God doesn’t require perfection, just your willingness. Remember, practice doesn’t make perfect, PRACTICE MAKES BETTER.
If you don’t yet know what you’re meant to do, ask God. He promises in Matthew 7:7: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” He will reveal it in time.
Lastly, always know that no matter where life takes you, your work, when done for God, is never in vain. Live your life with love, purpose, and passion, and let your light shine so others can see the goodness of God through you. I wish you all the best on this journey called life, and I’m thankful our paths have crossed, even if just for a moment.
Raissa ♥️
