Special Prayer:
"There are going to be many voices, and prominent people who will be VERY cunning, very inspirational and very knowledgeable, well spoken, etc that WILL come and try to influence you with "new ways" of seeing things, experiencing life, and MOST importantly experiencing faith, and your walk in this life. Be on the lookout for those kinds of people, they are HARD to spot, but if you stay in the Word, and study the word and ask the Holy Spirit to understand, you will be able to discern his voice from that of wolves.
"Be Discerning of Influences:"
Matthew 7:15-20: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits."
1 John 4:1: "Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."
Colossians 2:8: "See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, and not according to Christ." If you want to hear the VOICE of God read your Bible, that way it will be harder for you to be deceived.
I pray that you have the eyes and ears to discern those that are of Christ and those who are not. Here are passages that will help you!
2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
ALWAYS TEST THE SPIRIT against the Word of God!
Also, do not forget to lead in love, a lot of times people equate people of God or Christians to be the biggest haters, and bigots, those people are not of God, or they still haven't given their hearts to Christ to change it. Once you accept Christ he can and will change you, but it takes TIME. But above all things, lead with love, understanding and patience. Just because you don't agree with someone, or believe what they do is wrong, it doesn't give you a pass to mistreat or disrespect others. We are to lead in love even in our differences because that love can eventually lead someone to Christ, love doesn't always mean tolerance and acceptance of sin, but before we judge others we HAVE to look at ourselves first!!
Lead with Love and Patience:
1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient and kind; it does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not rejoice at wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
John 13:34-35: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."
Ephesians 4:2-3: "With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
Self-Reflection and Humility:
Matthew 7:1-5: "Judge not, that you be not judged. Why do you see the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
James 1:22-25: "Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. The one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."
Remember, leading in love does not mean accepting sin, but it involves showing kindness and respect, allowing God's love to shine through us, and ultimately drawing others to Him." Amen
Personal notes: I write these things for you to encourage you, I am not perfect and FAR from it. I have fallen for the cunning words, the false teachers, the itchy ears, all of that. I AM GUILTY.... BUT GOD!!!!! Stay in the Word and you will be able to tell his voice from that of Wolves, I PROMISE YOU!
Lead in Love and Humility -Raissa! ❤️
