Different plate does produce different sound. But so does many other things.

Contrary to many people's beliefs, switches are not the only thing that changes how a keyboard sounds.
In fact, there are many things that factor into making a good sounding keyboard such as the keycap material, mounting style, gasket positions, gasket material, bottom weight material etc.

The point is, there is no one formula to create a specific sounding keyboard.

While it may sound complicated, I hope everyone in this hobby finds joy in exploring different configurations, experiment with different builds to find that specific sound signature that matches your preference.
