Описание к видео HOW TO MAKE GREEN CHILE SAUCE FROM GREEN CHILE POWDER: Easy & Extremely Versatile Recipe

This is the perfect recipe for when you don't have fresh green chile but you still have that craving. In this video, I show you how to make green chile sauce from green chile powder. It's easy and so versatile, you can use it on anything. Read on for the recipe:

Green Chile Sauce from Green Chile Powder

2 Tbsp. oil or butter
2 Tbsp. flour
4 Tbsp. green chile powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. ground Mexican oregano
2 1/2 cups water or milk (the milk will make it a creamier sauce)

Heat pan on stovetop over medium high heat, add in oil or butter followed by flour. Mix well and let cook two minutes. Add in chile powder, salt, garlic powder, ground cumin and oregano. Mix to combine, then add liquid. Stir to dissolve and break up spices. If you have a gravy whisk, this is the perfect time to use it to make sure sauce is smooth with no clumps. Let it come to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Use sauce immediately over your favorite dish and enjoy.
