Marty Robbins Sings 'The Strawberry Roan.'

This was the song that Marty sang to get a job with a radio station after listening to and thinking he could do a better job than the singer the station already had! Marty jumped on his motorcycle and turned up at the radio station and auditioned after telling them he wanted to sing on the station. "But we already have a singer" Marty was told. "Yeah, but I'm better", replied Marty and after auditioning him the station took him on and got rid of the other guy. I wonder what would have happened if Marty hadn't taken that motorcycle ride that fateful day back in Arizona in the late 40's. With a voice like he had it would only have been a matter of time before he had broken through anyway. Marty sang the song the rest of his career on his many personal appearances.
