The perfect soup on a cold day | Sopa De Fideo Recipe

This morning we got up early and cheered on my husband while he participated in a 10K run. The weather may have been great for running, but for the rest of us it was really cold. I decided to make one of my favorite childhood soups called fideo. This Mexican-style soup is versatile and can also be a great winter meal.

INGREDIENTS
1 to 1/2 lbs beef steak or ground beef
1 tsp salt
1/2 garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
5 oz box of Vermicelli
1/2 small onion
3 small potatoes (I used gold potatoes)
2 Roma tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp ground cumin
4 to 5 cups beef broth (or water)
1 dried bay leaf
season and salt to taste
