A Metaethical theory, Ideal Observer Theory claims that morality is that in which an Ideal Observer would approve or disapprove of. The Ideal Observer is a hypothetical morally perfect judge. When we act, we must consider whether this hypothetical morally perfect observer would approve or disapprove of our actions.
