Michael Jackson - We've Had Enough (80s Mix)

Описание к видео Michael Jackson - We've Had Enough (80s Mix)

"We have to heal our wounded world. The chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment.” - 1958 - ♾️

I'd like to think that Michael would've had A LOT to say about the state of the world today in general, from COVID-19 to the continuous police brutality, to the presidential elections, the countless wildfires, etc. Especially since this song was originally inspired by the Iraq war. For me, after 'Earth Song', it's 'We've Had Enough', so there was no better song to choose to be the "center-piece" of the album, to open the youth's eyes with his words from 2004 that still ring true in 2021. We have had ENOUGH! ✊🏾 Enjoy. Also, "You Are Not Alone (12" Version)" serves as the B-side for this one. 💿

Get it while it's hot! 🔥 Seriously, I know some, if not most or all of these songs may get axed by "them", so please use the download link well and share the album/songs with your friends. Love you all! 🖤

The original version of “We’ve Had Enough” was leaked by American producer Eulonzo on August 28th, 2021, on Michael Jackson’s birthday. It was unknown this version existed.

Although avid fans are familiar with the version that was released on the “Ultimate Collection” boxset, it has been revealed that “We’ve Had Enough” was originally written and recorded in 1984 during the Victory sessions with his brothers. It’s been rumored that Michael wrote it around the same time he wrote and possibly even recorded “We Are the World”, with his brother Jackie Jackson co-writing it with him. He began working further on this version alongside Quincy Jones and his brothers.

During the making of the song, Michael and his brother Jermaine Jackson began having conflict due to the fact that the brothers had no vocals contributions to the song and that it’s only Michael. It’s assumed that due to him being absent for some of the Victory sessions, Jermaine was not aware that they all agreed that Michael was going to have a solo song on the Victory album. Jermaine suggested they make it a duet with he and Michael going back and forth with the verses, in which Michael declined and it remained just a solo song.

While Michael loved this version and was pushing for it to be put on the Victory album, Jermaine fought against it and while the brothers were for it. So ultimately, Tito stepped in and they eventually decided to shelve the song, with most of the elements being used for “Torture”. However, a spot was still needed for Michael’s solo song on the album, so he would go on to replace it with “Be Not Always”, a song that he had recorded around the same time. It’s alleged that Michael wanted it promoted that he was “unavailable” to appear in the “Torture” music video, when he actually purposely didn’t show up due to the incident with Jermaine regarding “We’ve Had Enough”.

So, it was left in the vault until Michael revisited it in 1999-2000 during the Invincible sessions. Then it evolved into the version that allegedly was supposed to be on the “Invincible” album, but failed to make the final tracklist. A few years later, he reworked the song one final time with different lyrics relating to the Iraq war. This version was produced by Rodney Jerkins.
