Prescribed Burning - Your Firing Patterns Matter!

Описание к видео Prescribed Burning - Your Firing Patterns Matter!

After having people chase "spot fires" around for a few hours, we decided to give folks some BONUS CONTENT and put on a miniature "ignition operations" class. We talk about different firing patterns and how fires will behave (generally, of course!) with each one and what kind of effects (again, GENERALLY!) one can expect from each!

This is from the Spot Fire Suppression Workshop held April 20th in Collins, MO - the first run of this Workshop in Western Missouri - it has been run previously at Shaw Nature Reserve just outside St Louis since 2021. Now we're taking the show on the road!

We're teaching private landowners, Prescribed Burn Association members, Fire Contractors, and others to safely suppress spot fires that may occur on a Prescribed Fire! All training occurred on a specially-prepared Prescribed Fire unit, within the "moderate" range of the prescription, with safety as a top priority.
