Welcome back to Foundations YouTube Channel. Today we’re going to show you an advanced dynamic warm up for your thoracic spine and shoulders. Pretty much your upper quarter in general. The word to stress is advanced. We have several videos to build up to this to improve your thoracic rotation. Overhead athletes, cross-fitters, pitchers, throwers, quarterbacks basically anybody who needs a lot of thoracic rotation with overhead function. Make sure you check out those videos before you work up to this otherwise you’ll do this poorly and it won’t be much of a warmup for you at all. That being said lets get going. So what you’re going to do is start with your feet shoulder width apart and you’re going to start with your hands behind your head and you kind of spread your wings. You’re going to squat down, keep your chest up, come up. Then you’re going to do another squat, reach those arm up, keep your chest up, come up. Come down. Then you’re going to reach across for one of your shoes here. Then you’re going to look up and rotate then come down. Reach across, opposite arm reaches up. Rotate. Come down. Then back up. Then you would go back to here again. Open up. Squat there. Come back up. Go through the whole progression again. Each time you go through that entire progression we count that was one repetition. I would go through that a bare minimum of 5 probably closer to 10 times would be good. So try this out. If its helpful please like and share with somebody else you think it might help.
