Lessons were learned repainting my Forester last year and they're visible in the finished (and current) product. It's been a year and a half since I repainted the car using only primer sealed with clear coat, and it's showing its age. However, I still think it was worth the experiment and the car still definitely looks better than it did when I first got it.
