Traditional Mangalore Red Masala Beef Curry - Meat

When it comes to quick and satisfying meals Beef Curry has to be at the top of the list. This is one of those outrageously delicious curries, which will make you mop your plate clean and ask for more.

My grandmother used to cook the beef in an earthen pot for two hours till it became tender. The taste of the final dish when cooked in an earthen pot is incomparable. She would always add potatoes to the gravy so that she could stretch the gravy for the whole day. As those days they had quite a few mouths to feed. I love to add potatoes to my meat gravies, at time I eat more of the potatoes then the meat.

But here I have used a pressure cooker to fasten the process. This is a spicy gravy and will make you lick your fingers.

This curry goes well with boiled rice and a side dish of a simple veg. You can also serve it with some bread.
