Perfect Playthrough: Pokemon Yellow Part 14

I take care of whatever remaining loose threads that I left until this episode, starting with the Surfing Pikachu minigame. Since I'm using a rom hack that allows me to play this minigame--similar to the Virtual Console release of Pokemon Yellow--I was able to play it without a Pikachu that learned Surf. Then, I defeated all the trainers on Route 19 and then caught Articuno, Golbat, and Seel over at Seafoam Islands. I then complete the remaining ingame trades (save for one), trading duplicate copies of Tangela, Golduck, Growlithe, and Kangaskhan for Parasect, Rhydon, Dewgong and Muk respectively. I already caught Parasect and Muk, but Rhydon and Dewgong are new additions to my Pokedex.

With all but two trainers defeated in Kanto, it was finally time to take on the Viridian City Gym where we take on %!&^@##!. We earn the Earth Badge, then we take on Gary for the seventh time, defeating him quite easily before making our way to Route 23 where i catch a Mankey and Primeape. We arrive at Victory Road. But before I can proceed any further, I'll need to catch second copies of my recently caught Mankey and Primeape, and I'm gonna have to catch a number of Pokemon in Victory Road, all en route to the inevitable final showdown at the Pokemon League.
