Perfect Playthrough: Pokemon Red and Blue Finale

It's been two months since I last covered Red and Blue. In spite having already beaten the League and completed the Pokedex, there were still a few things I needed to do before laying these two games to rest. For starters, completing the remaining in-game trades using dupes, and I needed to pick up one hidden item in Vermillion City which I missed out on. I also needed to max out my gil and Coins in my Coin Case. I did the latter offscreen, but the former was done via the Old Man glitch and running into Missingno. I sold my excess Nuggets thanks to Missingno., and in doing so, I maxed out my gil.

Finally, I needed to trade my duped copies of Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur, Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto, Kabutops, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and Mew over to Gold and Silver in exchange for their eighteen duplicate copies of Vulpix and Growlithe, which I subsequently released upon arrival.

And with that, my Perfect Playthrough of Red and Blue is officially done. With the game beaten, the Pokedex completed, all items both visible and invisible picked up, all gifts received, my gil and Coins fully maxed out, and the Gen 1 exclusives fully transferred over to Gold and Silver, there is literally nothing more to do with these two games, making this officially the final episode of Red and Blue. I'll be taking the next two days off to devote those days to the final two games of Summer of Sega. Then, I'll proceed with my Playthrough proper, and finish up Pokemon Yellow.
