New York Times Crossword, Monday 3/1/21:
Today wasn't flashy, but was a very solid Monday puzzle. The fill was very smooth, so I think many of you may be able to set a PB today! I did not. The theme was fine (although unspectacular) and all the fills were very recognizable things. I think BRUTEFORCE and ALLTERRAIN are pretty solid non-theme long fills as well.

Also some nice creative-but-not-crazy-difficult cluing for a Monday. Some good cultural trivia type cluing on EDESL ('50s Ford flop), EPCOT (Theme park with an "Imagination! pavilion), and UTE (Salt Lake City athlete). Also some good tricky cluing on ACDC (Rock band that electrifies audiences?) and RACK (Eight lamb chops, typically, or a frame for 15 pool balls).

Altogether, this Monday delivered in the ways that Mondays are supposed to. I have to try to remember EMERY board as those nail-file type things. One day I shall.

14s on the Mini and 3m18s on the daily puzzle.
