These lifts are situated in an office building in Zürich, Switzerland. They were installed upon construction of the building in the early 90s by the company Aufzüge+Service AG from Bichwil, canton of St. Gallen. Aufzüge+Service AG was one of the many small lift companies that existed in the 90s in Switzerland. They used many Thyssen components in their installs and were later on bought by TKE.

The lifts run on a nowadays very rare controller system that I have yet only seen on lifts by Aufzüge+Service AG. Finding more information on it is very hard due to the company having been bought by TKE years ago. The system seems to originate from Aufzüge+Service AG themselves and is built in a modular way by having a CPU unit as well as in- and output slot-in modules inside a rack. The controller of lift number one of the also has a group dispatcher, labelled Zentralteil (central part). The controllers use an incremental magnetic shaft info system (return to bottom floor after position lost). Advanced door opening is enabled on all lifts, the bridging of door safety happens through dedicated relays (no safety relay board).
The drives used on these lifts are Loher Dynalift DCL computer thyristor drives. They produce a distinct sound that is typical for this drive type.
