Do you believe in manifestation? Put simply, manifestation is the practice of transforming your desires into realities. For children there is no distinction between the two -- playing games of cops and robbers, choosing dream jobs and best friends forever. A past life spent with friends and family, at malls and fairs, on trampolines and see-saws -- I remember it viscerally, in flashes between fast food dinners and warranty scams.

Resigned and alienated in adulthood, living through memories, I choose to believe in the power of the mind. I don’t want to do my chores. I don’t want to wash dishes or get haircuts or read emails. By faith in my imagination, between naked walls, I manifest something else.
