Kerosene Heater Cleaning Wick Trick

Описание к видео Kerosene Heater Cleaning Wick Trick

Here's how you can clean the deposits off your wick.

I was shutting off my heater the wrong way lately. I was using the emergency shut off to shut down the heater but that shuts off the fuel burn swiftly and the wick has no time to burn itself out and this causes the carbon deposits to form on the wick. I was supposed to pull out my dial and turn the wick down into the housing to gradually extinguish the flame.

This heater is circa 1990's when it was bought and it is the same wick I've used as I have never had to change it. Don't use your emergency shut off lever unless it is an emergency folks! I have burned countless tanks of treated diesel in this heater and it still performs perfectly.
