Mach E Recall - Now what's wrong with the MME!?

Ford Mustang Mach E's now have another recall, this time it's a software fix under: Battery Energy Control Module Software Update. It appears this will be available over the air or you can bring it to the dealer. I'm wondering what we are giving up because this sounds like more of a hardware issue than a software issue. Can we no longer DC charge as fast? Is the torque curve being modified?
