Troubles with RV Slides

We own a Tiffin Allegro Open Road, 34PA. We choose this layout because of all the room inside provided by the 4 slides. But with those 4 slides comes the headaches of when they don't want to work.

We've experienced slide problems at least 5 times in the past few years. These include:
• Slide Rail Misaligned causing wear
• Slide motor becoming dislodged and Slide gears stripping out
• Wall panel in the RV not working
• Loose ground on our Hydraulic slides
• And a couple of issues with our Schwintek slide controller and wiring to the motor.

This video goes through all of our experiences and tips we've learned along the way to reduce our anxiety about slides.

Troubleshooting Tips:
1) Is signal getting from the control pad to the control panel.
2) Is signal getting to the slide controller
3) Is power getting to the slide controller (ignition and brake on)
4) Is slide controller showing an error
5) Is motor receiving any signal … starting then stopping
6) Check mechanics of slide
a. Electric Slides: Wiring connections, motors, gears and rails
b. Hydraulic: Electrics, Solenoids, Valves and hoses
