"Then show me your fury! You're rage!"

Good to know I'm the physical embodiment of the sentiment called rage. Wise words from the master till the very end.

..Okay okay, I'm not just gonna let this semi-glorious moment (read: overly long battle full of Van spamming sh**) end with a typo by the translation team. Van's first form is pretty similar to the one at the Absorption Gate and has two main differences. The first one is that he won't go into Overlimit (yay!), and the second one is his new Mystic Arte called Celestial Elegy. He will only use it after the in-battle cutscene when his HP are in the 170ks, with the player's character being in close proximity of him. The thing is that it has ridiculous range, and that the game won't accept any commands you give after Van activates it. That means you have to jump away in advance, and it's gotta be a double jump for Luke since his normal jump won't let him travel far enough to evade the attack. I used an Overlimit + Lost Fon Drive to drive Van to the corner before letting him use Celestial Elegy. That way, I have enough time and space to dodge the MA.

The second form is annoying as hell. As you can see, he starts the fight using an OVL, and he'll keep doing it throughout the battle. Due to that, you absolutely have to reserve your own OVL for a no damage win in case Van guards your attacks, as you have no way to evade his OVL aura after a guard. Good estimating skills for when he's received enough hits to activate OVL are a must unless you want to force it out of him by spamming Demon Fist. You'll get enough opportunities to use Demon Fist anyway, as Van loves to alternate between Radiant and Shining Dragon until Yulia comes back from her grave to *SPOILER tell him that's the future she foresaw *SPOILERS END*. Aside from that, Van somehow learned to recover in the air and to cast Judgment and Shining Prism (the latter one shouldn't be underestimated since it can screw you should Van guard while the spell is still going off behind you). But really, his guards in combination with his OVL are the worst offenders here.

That being said, this run is officially over. Or is it? Well, you know I'm aiming for a complete no damage run, so I still have to redo the Roneal ordeal and Kaiser Dreck 08/15. This will probably take some time to do, since I'm quite busy at the moment, but count on me delivering these two fights some time in the future. I hope you enjoyed the current state of the run nevertheless, and I thank all who were and are still watching this. Also, props to the people who helped me with this run in various ways (motivating me, promoting my stuff, giving advice and insights on gameplay aspects etc.), namely MagnusBlade, omegaevolution, and last but not least, Muctales.

Talking about future plans as I always do on those final boss vids...I know there's my Natalia run which I have neglected a bit lately. That, of course, will be done as well, though most likely in a similar fashion to Luke, meaning that I will redo battles that I initially didn't get a no damage win on. Furthermore, I'll get to finish that No More Heroes 2 run soon - as I said, my life keeps me entertained atm. And I should also mention that there's a secret project going on behind the scenes which I'm going reveal. What project? When? Well, keep an eye out and you'll see...
