Somehow I never saw the Camp Rock movies growing up, and I know so little about them that I thought there was a full trilogy. Nope! Only two! Maybe I thought there were three movies because there are three Jonas Brothers? Nope! Four! But that's besides the point. It's finally time to get caught up on this classic DCOM franchise, and ya gal Gwen is back to rock tf out with me!

Plot (via Wiki & ChatGPT):
In Camp Rock, shy singer Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato) dreams of attending Camp Rock, a summer music camp, but her family can’t afford it. Her mom, Connie (Maria Canals-Barrera), gets hired as the camp’s caterer, allowing Mitchie to attend at a discount. Mitchie helps in the kitchen while navigating camp life and befriends Caitlyn Gellar (Alyson Stoner), an aspiring music producer.
Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), the spoiled lead singer of Connect 3, is sent to camp by his bandmates Nate (Nick Jonas) & Jason (Kevin Jonas) to rehabilitate his image. While teaching dance, he overhears Mitchie singing but doesn’t see her and becomes obsessed with finding the girl behind “the voice.”
At the Opening Jam, Mitchie lies to popular girl Tess Tyler (Meaghan Jette Martin), claiming her mom works for a music TV channel, and Tess invites her into her clique. Caitlyn warns Mitchie about Tess, but Mitchie keeps up the lie, straining her friendship with Caitlyn. During a fight with Tess, Caitlyn is blamed and punished by working in the kitchen, where she discovers Mitchie’s secret.
Mitchie and Shane grow closer as he shares doubts about his music, and she encourages him to follow his heart. Jealous, Tess exposes Mitchie’s lie, leading Shane to believe Mitchie used him for his fame. Mitchie becomes ostracized, and Tess frames her and Caitlyn for stealing, barring them from activities until after Final Jam.
At Final Jam, Tess falters during her performance, while Peggy (Jasmine Richards) wins with a solo. After the competition, Mitchie performs, and Shane realizes she’s the girl with “the voice.” They reconcile and perform a duet together.
In Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, Mitchie returns to Camp Rock, now overshadowed by rival Camp Star, founded by Axel Turner (Daniel Kash), Brown Cesario’s (Daniel Fathers) former bandmate. Camp Star lures campers and counselors with an elaborate bonfire performance. Few campers leave, but many counselors do, leaving Camp Rock short-staffed. Mitchie convinces Brown to keep camp open, with campers taking on counselor roles.
The roles prove challenging, and Mitchie’s focus on beating Camp Star strains her relationship with Shane, who returned to spend time with her. After a water balloon fight lifts spirits, Shane leads rehearsals, and he and Mitchie reconcile. Meanwhile, Nate bonds with Dana (Chloe Bridges), Axel’s daughter, despite the rivalry.
Camp Star proposes a televised competition judged by public voting. Axel manipulates the voting system, leading to Camp Star’s victory. However, many Camp Star members, including Tess and Dana, join Camp Rock, impressed by its community spirit. This ensures Camp Rock will remain open for another summer.
