Hawaiian Alphabet & Pronunciation Guide

Learn ka pīʻāpā Hawai’i — the Hawaiian alphabet — as well as the pronunciations for the various sounds in ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiian language.

We’ll cover the vowels and consonants, including the ‘okina and kahakō. We’ll also go over the pronunciation for the various diphthongs and other vowel groupings in Hawaiian.
