Qantas boss Vanessa Hudson says 'there's more work to do' to restore trust in the airline.
The company reported a full-year profit of $1.25 billion, down 28 per cent on the previous 12 months. $230 million was spent on improving services for customers, while $3.1 billion went on big investments, mainly new aircraft. The airline is also buying back $400 millions worth of shares to help boost the stock price.
Ms Hudson said the airline's focus is getting the "balance right in delivering for customers, employees and shareholders". She took control of Qantas following the departure of former CEO Alan Joyce amid ongoing scandals and lawsuits.
