How Ice Water Hash Is Made

Ice Water Hash, also known as IWE, or colloquially “bubble hash” is a form of cannabis concentrate, consisting of an accumulation of trichomes that have been separated from the cannabis plant using ice, water, and agitation. The ice acts as a freezing agent that makes the trichomes very brittle and easy to brake, the agitation breaks these oil-based trichomes off, releasing them into the cold water, which acts as a carrying agent. The trichome-containing water is drained away from the ice and plant material and poured through varying micron bags, which collects the different sizes of trichomes from 160 microns down to 25 microns.
