How to Split Bill Rig a Ballyhoo | Wolfpack Tackle

Learn how to correctly rig a Split Bill Ballyhoo with Captain Jeff Warford, to increase your bites while tuna fishing. Jeff shows every step needed to correctly rig your trolling hook with copper wire, and then attach the Ballyhoo to the hook.

Our Ahi Trolling Heads are Keel Weighted, meaning the head will swim through the water without twisting or spinning. In addition, each head has an included Ballyhoo Stabilizer, which allows the bait to be attached easily.

In a typical spread on the F/V Wolfpack, we will always run 2 ballyhoo out the back. To successfully fish Ballyhoo, the bait must be rigged correctly to have a lifelike swimming motion. It's simple; if your bait swims upright every time, you're more likely to get the bite!
