These posture correction exercises include dynamic and static chest and shoulder stretches that lengthen the chest muscles that contribute to rounded shoulders and upper back. The static stretches are performed with relaxed breathing technique and towel assistance for more effective stretching. The routine commences with standing active chest and shoulder stretches. These stretches are also modified for individuals with coexisting shoulder pain or injury.

The posture stretches include:
- Standing towel assisted chest (pectoralis major and minor muscles) and front of shoulder (anterior deltoid muscle) stretches
- Lying down supine towel assisted shoulder mobility exercises and chest stretches
- Lying down prone postural strengthening exercises for the lower trapezius muscles
- Deep breathing exercises and relaxation in child's pose position.

The static stretches can be maintained for 10-30 seconds each and repeated a couple of times at least 2-3 days of the week (1).
