Black kites, which are actually brown in colour are well known for nesting on Yeung Chau Island in Sai Kung. So at around sunset they come back in their masses ready to roost for the night.

Managed to capture this footage on my iPhone, on my way back from an afternoon of kayaking. Would love to have some better gear (drone and camera with telescopic lense) to get some better shots. Nonetheless, they’re a joy to watch especially with the sun setting in the back drop.
