The 2018 Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 is one of the most exciting Breitling watches since the arrival of the B01 chronograph caliber in the 2009 Breitling Chronomat. Designed with inspiration for the vintage Breitling Premier collection of the 1940s and 1950s, the new Premier B01 Chronograph 42 also is the flagship of the 2018 Breitling Premier collection.

This Breitling Premier B01 is housed in a stainless steel case with dramatic modernist gadrons on its caseband. A Breitling Navitimer bracelet with seven link steel construction and a deployant clasp keeps the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 anchored to the wrist.

The Premier B01 Chronograph 42 AB0118A61C1A1 is capped by a dramatic box section sapphire designed to evoke plexiglas crystals of the mid-20th century. A blue sunburst dial with tone-on-tone black chronograph registers exhibits the new hallmark of in-house caliber Breitling watches: two colors on one dial. Applique hour indices appear rich and feature blackened centers for dramatic effect. The chronograph registers exhibit circular embossed "guilloche," and a date display anchors the dial at six o'clock.

Hour and minute hands are painted with Super LumiNova for night time legibility, and a Breitling automatic chronograph caliber B01 powers the displays. Breitling's in-house caliber B01 features a 70-hour power reserve, vertical clutch engagement with column wheel function selection, and 47 jewels for smooth running. The Premier B01 Chronograph 42 is water resistant to 100 meters and includes a sapphire display caseback.

This Breitling Premier is encased in 42mm of stainless steel surrounding a blue dial on a steel bracelet. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date, tachymeter, and chronograph. The watch also measures 13.8mm in thickness and 49.9mm from lug-to-lug.
