Jeff Clement this story by Sakinah Jonas-Mawji, the winner of our April 2014 Short Writing Contest, about a boy named Edmund who grows up to inherit the Piper business and fortune once his father dies. The only other heir, his brother, died in a horrific accident involving a well in their youth. As Edmund gets older, he gains more insight into the whole truth of his brother's death, and learns some very dark secrets about his father and his family, and what exactly it means to be a Piper.
