Thailand News | Drunk police chief insults foreigner

A disturbing incident unfolded at a restaurant in Maha Sarakham, Isaan, as a visibly intoxicated Police Colonel, identified as Olarn Sookkasem, Chief of the Administrative Department of Maha Sarakham Provincial Police, verbally abused a foreign customer. The Thai officer, in a red T-shirt, caused a commotion after being asked to stop smoking. In a video circulating on social media, he accused the foreigner of being an illegal alien, insisting on a document check. Two police officers eventually intervened, escorting the unruly officer out as he continued to assert his authority. The foreigner's wife, Dao, called for a sincere apology, emphasizing the need to treat every customer equally, without exploiting power for personal privilege.
