Seeing Is Believing - Waitt Advanced Biophotonics Center - Salk Institute

Launched with a landmark $20 million gift from the Waitt Foundation, the Waitt Advanced Biophotonics Center (WABC) serves as a state-of-the-art research hub within the Salk Institute, enabling investigators from across many disciplines to take advantage of the latest developments in biological imaging. At the heart of the WABC lies the Core Facility, which is equipped with some of the most cutting-edge and technically advanced imaging and microscopy instrumentation in the country. These state-of-the-art microscopes and imaging instruments are providing Salk scientists with hitherto unimaginable insights—literally and figuratively—impacting nearly all the research being done at the Salk Institute.
