Aeolian Islands Part 2 - Salina, Panarea, Stromboli in Sicily, Italy

Today we embark on day 2 of our most EXCITING Sicilian adventure yet - spending 48 hours island hopping between the volcanic Aeolian Islands! We are on the islands of Salina, Panarea and Stromboli, where we boat around Salina, stumble across the most gorgeous views on the celebrity island of Panarea and embrace the energetic mystique of one of the worlds most active volcanoes, Stromboli!

In the Tyrrhenian Sea, just off the northern coast of Sicily, lies The Aeolian Islands (Isole Eolie), an archipelago of seven islands (Vulcano, Lipari, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi, and Alicudi) resulting from over 260,000 years of volcanic activity.

Salina is the second-largest island in the archipelago. Panarea is the smallest of the seven inhabited Islands. Stromboli is one of the three active volcanoes in Italy.
