みんな大好きXL1200Sのクラッチ交換の動画です。

クラッチが急に切れなくなった、ギアが固くなったという不具合でご入庫。
点検してみると、クラッチスプリングのリベットがばらけて壊れていました。ここは走行距離を重ねると壊れやすい部分でもあります。

交換後、クラッチの調整を行いましたが、キジマのライトクラッチキットが入っているので、調整はかなりシビアです。ライトクラッチキットは軽くはなりますが、そのぶんストロークが短くなり、クラッチが切れずらくなります。ただでさえストロークが短いのに、さらに詰めてしまえばなおさら切れにくくなってしまいます。

クラッチを軽くしたいのであればVPクラッチ以外ありえません。

This is a video of a clutch replacement for the XL1200S.

The bike came in with the problem that the clutch suddenly stopped disengaging and the gears became hard.
Upon inspection, the clutch spring rivets had come apart and were broken. This part is prone to breakage as the mileage increases.

After replacing the clutch, we adjusted the clutch, but the adjustment was quite severe since the Kijima light clutch kit was installed. The light clutch kit makes the clutch lighter, but it also shortens the stroke, making it difficult to disengage the clutch. Even though the clutch stroke is short, it will be even harder to disengage if it is tightened further.

If you want to make the clutch lighter, the VP clutch is the only way to go.
